Senior Enrichment Programs
Supporting Healthy Aging Through Connection, Wellness & Purpose

Supporting healthy aging through connection, wellness, and lifelong engagement.
Our Senior Enrichment Program provides older adults with opportunities to stay active, socially connected, and engaged in their community. Through our Carverdale Prime Timers, seniors participate in weekly fitness activities, line dancing, educational workshops, social gatherings, movie days, birthday celebrations, and community outings that promote physical health, mental wellness, and meaningful relationships.

*Carverdale Prim Timers Senior Social Group:
Meets weekly, on Tuesday from 11am to 2pm. Weekly activities include cards, dominoes, bingo, chair volleyball, chair aerobics, monthly birthday celebration, and a monthly field trip. Occasional guests are invited to address topics pertaining to senior concerns.

Senior Wellness:
*Weekly Exercise Classes, seniors, and community residents are encouraged to join a one hour Monday & Thursday fitness class which starts at 10:30am to build stamina, increase balance and flexibility, while engaging in controlled exercises to improve cardiovascular, and other controllable medical conditions.
​
*Seasoned Steppers Line Dancing Team: is an instructor lead one-and-a-half-hour week dance class created to engage social interaction through dance. The program offers a fun setting where new dance steps are tough and reviewed weekly. This fun activity also delivers balance, cardiovascular stimulation, cognitive memorization, and steps are modified based on your skill ability.

Building Financial Confidence for Everyday Life

Building confidence through financial knowledge and life skills.
Our Financial Education Program equips individuals and families with practical tools to make informed financial decisions. Participants learn budgeting, saving, debt reduction, retirement planning, and other essential life skills that promote long-term financial stability and economic independence.

*Adulting 101: Basic budgeting and money management.
​
*Financial Literacy covers: Credit and debt reduction, 401(k) and retirement planning, Wealth-building strategies. Classes are seasonal and pre-registration is required.

Technology plays an important role in everyday life. Our Digital Access & Connection Program helps participants gain confidence using smartphones, mobile applications, and online resources. Whether connecting with family, accessing healthcare, or finding community services, we help bridge the digital divide.

Community Resource & Navigation Service
Connecting People With the Resources They Need

Connecting individuals and families with the resources they need.
Navigating available services can be overwhelming. Our Community Resource & Navigation Services help individuals connect with trusted organizations that provide healthcare, housing assistance, food resources, disaster preparedness, financial support, and other essential services. Through education and partnerships, we help families find the support they need.
​
*Community Empowerment: Quartey workshops are hosted to empower the community in the following areas:
​
*Health Fairs offering, screenings, education, and immunizations
​
*Seasonal Medicare/Medicaid open enrollment sessions.
​
*Final preparation sessions covering Wills, trusts, death dead transfers, and other vital information.
​
*Disaster Preparedness Workshop reviews the importance of properly preparing for
Hurricane season. Knowing what area resources are available when a disaster strikes, emergency safety training, disaster preparedness kits, and connections to community services as applicable.
​
*Navigation Services: individual client assessment is offered for those in need of assistance with referrals for housing, home repair resources, social service assistance, medical equipment, and appeals.

Health screenings, fun educational activities, family resource

*Community & Social awareness: various community events are sponsored by networking with Faith Based and Social Civil Organization to enrich the community. These programs include but are not limited to, Easter Egg Hunts, Juneteenth programs, and paradise, Black History Programs, Antique Car Show, Senior Expos, Nutrition Education Cooking Demos, Diabetes education classes. We support area Small business by allowing them to serve as vendor to showcase their product.

*Support for local charities:
*Walking in Faith 5K Breast Cancer Walk, is a fun educational community event to support neighbors who are fighting Breast Cancer, has survived the fight or honoring a loved one who has passed on. The walk also provides much need education on early and annual screening, while supporting area organizations who focus on treatment and prevention.
